Funeral services for Mrs. Ever Christina Barker Holloway will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 in Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill with Reverends Jim Cooper and Jason Hoychick officiating. Interment will follow in Butters Cemetery, Forest Hill under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Holloway, 94, of Forest Hill entered eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2006 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.

Mrs. Ever's joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother to all, and her greatest accomplishment was instilling her Christian faith in her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Holloway; her parents, Charlie and Emma Barker; three grandchildren, James E. Holloway, Carlton Holloway, and Carla Holloway; three brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, and one daughter-in-law.

Survivors include four sons, Carl Holloway and his wife, Lydia of McNary, Charlie Holloway and his wife, Brenda, Clyde Holloway and his wife, Cathie, and Claude Holloway and his wife, Vergie, all of Forest Hill; three daughters, Virginia Martin and her companion, Albert Smart, Vivian Kurtz and her husband, Gary, and Lillian Langston and her husband, John, all of Forest Hill; one sister, Eva James of Alexandria; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Grandsons honored to serve as pallbearers are Wayne Sutton, John Martin, Michael Martin, Timothy Holloway, Kevin Kurtz, Brandon Holloway, Jason Langston, and Jeff Langston. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Melder, Louis Sutton, Rick Martin, Mark Holloway, and Ben Holloway.

Friends may call at Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 13 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
