Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Raffensperger

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Raffensperger, 87, widow of Calvin Raffensperger, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John M. Kerr, Carlisle, Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock from infirmities of age.

Mrs. Raffensperger was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hartzell. She spent most of her life in Biglerville and vicinity, going to her daughter's home about two months ago.

She was a member of the Biglerville Lutheran church. Her husband died February 15, 1885.

Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are two sons, William N. Raffensperger. Arendtsville, and Emory Raffensperger, Biglerville: 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grand- children.

Funeral services Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the J. C. Lutz and son funeral home, 141 North Hanover street, Carlisle, the Rev. H. W. Sternat. Biglerville, and the Rev. F. E. Remaly, Carlisle, officiating.

Interment in Arendtsville.
