Maggie McCracken McElroy, age 93, of the Upper Crabtree Community, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, November 26, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne W. McElroy who died in 1975, 3 Sisters, 7 brothers and a granddaughter Cathey Lane McElroy. She was the daughter of the late Ector and Minnie Furr McCracken of Upper Crabtree.
She was a lifetime member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors: Son , Edgar W. McElroy and his wife Carolyn of Upper Crabtree;
Sister, Pearl Swanger of Canton; Grandson, Daniel W. McElroy and his wife Stephanie of Upper Crabtree.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 29, 2003 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes, with Reverend Thomas Kemp, Reverend Mark Caldwell and Reverend Charlie Simpson officiating. Burial followed in the Upper Crabtree Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff McCracken, Damien McElroy, Ronnie Bradshaw, George Kirkpatrick, Robert Shook, Charles Green, Charles Free, Carl McCracken.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jimmy, Doyle, and Dallas Smith, Frank Smart, Joe McElroy, Gene Hill, Ralph, Troy Lee, and Lynden McCracken and Adrian Presnell.
