Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Alice Emily Batey, age 91 years, who passed away on Wednesday at the Colonial Manor Care Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ewald and husband Curtis of New Braunfels, Katie Johnston of New Braunfels and Barbara Henk and husband Michael of Canyon Lake; five sons, Howard Batey of Canyon Lake, Virgil Batey and wife Nettie of New Braunfels, Kenneth Batey and wife Frances of New Braunfels, Phillip Batey and wife Patty of Canyon Lake and Franklin Batey and wife Verna of New Braunfels; twenty seven grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Batey was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Virgil Batey; daughter, Annie Batey and two sons, Charlie and Damon Batey.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until service time Saturday. The family will be present to greet friends, Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday at Noon in the Dugger Cemetery in Guadalupe County, Texas. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the American Diabetes Association.
