Winton Knudson was born August 14, 1928 in Gully, Minnesota. He attended grade school at Gully, then graduated Fosston High School in 1946, after which he joined the U. S. Navy Seabees. He married Shirley Fjerstad in July 1950 and five children were born to this union: Debra, Blake, Ronald, Jodell, and Ryan. Shirley passed away in 1975. Forrest then married Charlys "Chucky" Morehouse on June 10, 1977.
He was a motor machinist mate in the U.S. Navy until 1948; Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls, Oregon to 1950; Mid Continental Airlines Station Agent in Minneapolis to 1951; University of Minnesota Air Resarch Laboratory to 1951; La Salle Tire Store Salesman to 1953; Trail Oil Company Manager to 1955; and Reserve Mining Company Millwright until retirement.
He died January 11, 1988 in St. Louis County, Minnesota, and is buried in Lund Lutheran Cemetery, Gully, Minnesota.
