Maxine M. Bolte, 82, of Norfolk, formerly of North Bend, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home in Norfolk.
She was born March 29, 1927, in Morse Bluff to Anton and Irma (Ondracek) Chvatal. She grew up in Morse Bluff and was a 1944 graduate of Prague High School. She was employed at Mutual Benefit Insurance Co. in Omaha for five years prior to her marriage. She married Robert E. Bolte on June 2, 1951, in Clyde. After marriage, she lived in Webster for a few years and then moved to North Bend. She had been employed at Birchwood Manor in North Bend for five years and for Kort Amusement Co. in North Bend for many years. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1972. She moved to Norfolk in 1998.
She was a former member of St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend.
Survivors include: three sons, Doug (and wife, Linda) Bolte of Norfolk, Tom Bolte of Columbus and Tony (and wife, Tina) Bolte of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Juli (and husband, Bob) Rohleder of Norfolk and Beth Marie Bolte of Lincoln; a brother, Donald (and wife, Gladys) Chvatal of Morse Bluff; three sisters-in-law, Kay (and husband, Lee) Snyder and Mary Gayman, all of Omaha, and Wilma Bolte of Cedar Bluffs; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a grandson.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend with the Rev. Gerald Connealy of St. Peter Catholic Church in Stanton officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in North Bend.
