William Ray Ellison 1923 ~ 2006

William Ray Ellison, resident of American Fork, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2006.

He was born April 14, 1923 in Provo, Utah to Alfred Ray and Emma Alida Bates Ellison.

Bill married Irene Shelley in the Salt Lake Temple on February 25, 1946. "Grandpa Bill" was the devoted patriarch of a family of six children, 26 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, and children: Mary Ann Williamson; Rick Ellison (Kris); Ray Ellison (Janet); Sharlene Ricks (George); Jim Ellison (Bev); Janet Lewis (Bob); and a sister, Joan Jones (Cliff).

Preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Faye Beck, Helen Fulkerson, Beth Devitt, and brother, Harold Ellison.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 23rd Ward, 680 N 350 W.

A viewing will be held at Anderson & Sons Mortuary Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and Friday at the church one hour prior to the services.

Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
