Beulah Tucker Barwick, 92, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 in Tallahassee, Florida. She was a retired school teacher. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville with burial following at Vause Branch Cemetery in Sopchoppy, Florida. The viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the start of services on Wednesday, January 30,, 2008 at Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville, Florida (850-926-3333).
Beulah Tucker Barwick was born in Sopchoppy, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and Wakulla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee where she was a longtime Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by her daughter: Violet Kay Hatcher and husband Bill of Monticello, Florida; four sisters: Mary McKenzie, Louise Maxwell and husband Jesse, Blye Vickers, and Bobby Roberts and husband Albert, all of Tallahassee. She had nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by cherished friends Diane Blue and Matt Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Barwick, Sr., and two sons: Gilbert Barwick, Jr. and Joseph Dwight Barwick.
BEULAH MAE TUCKER was the daughter of Oliver Tucker and Mary Pelina Gwaltney.
