∼Edward Robert Ames, age 75 of Carsonville, Michigan, formerly of Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan, died June 18, 2008. He was born January 12, 1933 in Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan, to Burt and Lillian Ames.
Mr. Ames graduated from Hazel Park High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Detroit Edison where he was a service repairman and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving were his wife, Ellen (Smith) whom he married November 23, 1962 in Royal Oak; children, Mitchell (Deborah) Ames of Birmingham, Alabama, Lorie (Eric) Perttunen of Royal Oak and Michael (Dawn) Ames of Lake Orion; siblings, Carolyn LaCross of Traverse City, William Ames of Macomb, Jim (Kathie) Ames of Arizona and Chuck (Vicky) Ames of Port Huron; grandchildren, Jordan, Michael, Ashley, Emma, Hannah, Owen, Olivia, Julia and Seth and several nieces and nephews.
