Death Takes N.P. Westenskow
N.P. Westenskow, 72, of Manti, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Romania W. Bird, Delta, Sunday of natural causes.
He was born in Manti, March 18, 1872, a son of Peter and Dorothea Westenskow. He was active in church and civic affairs and had fulfilled an LDS mission in New Zealand for three years. He was director and chorister of Manti South LDS ward several years. He was a farmer by occupation.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Francia Bench Westenskow, whom he married in the Manti LDS Temple October 28, 1806; four daughters, Mrs. Romania Bird and Mrs. Marjorie Gardner, Delta; Mrs. Maurine Mellor, Fayette, and Miss Fern Westenskow, Salt Lake City; two sons, Eldon Westenskow, Moroni and Owen Westenskow, Brigham City; four sisters, Mrs. Julius Jensen and Mrs. Dorothy Keller, Manti, Mrs. Jennie Alden, Logan, and Mrs. Mary Rasmussen, Salina; two brothers, Jule Westenskow, Gunnison and Andrew Westenskow of Utah, also 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday in Manti Center LDS Ward chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Manti City Cemetery.
