Elizabeth Harter daughter of John Martin Harter Sr. born April 1706 died 1800 who came on Ship Phoenix 25 Sept 1751 to Philadalphia Pa. 1762 tax in Whitehall Twp Berks county Pa. Married Peter Heilman who came to on the Ship Halifax Port of Philadelphia on 28 Sep 1753. Northhampton County (Now Lehigh) Peter was a weaver by trade and also was his wife Elizabeth. The Farm had a Distiller of Heilman Whiskey. Came to Armstrong County 1796.
1805 Owned 200 acres 1 horse, 2 cattle at $170. Later owned 352 Acres in Manor Township. Emmauel Evangelical Lutheran Church organized 1840. church is located on the Garrett Run road. Tract of land was donated by Peter Heilman on which a Church was built in 1843., but deed was not executed until 20 Mar 1846, the corner stone was laid, June 27 1843. " One of these regulations was: "As long as there are six member of this congregation who do not understand English, German must be preached if possible". Rev. Jacob Zimmerman, 1847-1858 developed into one of the strongest rural churches numbering 140 communing members. The Daughters of Revolution War Kittanning Chapter 1961 put a tombstone up for Peter Heilman. Journal of Gabriel Adam Reichert gives us the correct date she died suddenly 21 Jan 1831 age 78years 9 m. Note John Stivenson her grandson in law was confirm 1848 at Heilman Church.

The Kittanning Chapter Daughters of Revolutionary War that started in 1919 place a stone for her husband Peter Heilman. This chapter is now closed. Fort Hand and Butler is where the ladies went after it closed in 1970
