ASHTABULA - Brian Lee Shank, 43, of North Bend Road died Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home.

He was born July 27, 1964 in Ashtabula, the son of Richard and Mary (Scott) Shank and had been a lifelong area resident.

A 1982 graduate of Harbor High School and the ACJVS, he loved cars and worked as a mechanic for Burt Brown Racing Transmission and had worked for NAPA Auto Parts.

A devoted father, son, brother, and uncle, he will always be remembered as an honest man who would always lend a helping hand.

His survivors include his son, Brian Thomas Shank of Ashtabula; one step-daughter, Jamie Katzman of Ashtabula; his former wife and mother of Brian T., Cathy Radwancky; his longtime companion, Kathleen Howe and her son, Cory Howe; one sister, Marge (Eric) Toivola of Ashtabula; nieces, Tawnya (Andy) Housel, Theresa (Andy) Clutter, Leah (Tom) Torrance, and Sarah Toivola; great-nephew Antonio Rojas; great-nieces, Rayna and Jelena Torrance and Erica Housel; and his parents, Richard and Mary Shank of Ashtabula.

A memorial for Brian L. Shank will be held 12 Noon Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Saybrook Methodist Church, 7900 Depot Road, Ashtabula. Rev. James MacDonald, Pastor will officiate. Burial was held in Saybrook Cemetery

No calling hours will be held but the family will receive friends at the church after the service until 3 PM.

Contributions may be made to the family.

Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
