Funeral services for Donald A. Simpson, assistant curator of Steinhart Aquarium here for many years, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of Hogan & Sullivan Mortuary, 1266 Ninth Ave.
Mr. Simpson, who was 74, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of New York, but had been a San Francisco Resident of a quarter century. He also had been an employee and curator for the aquarium since the early 1940s.
Mr. Simpson specialized in studies of tropical fish and was a frequent contributor of articles on the habits of tropical bred species to newspapers, including The Examiner.
Mr. Simpson lived at 295 Buckingham Way.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, and a niece living in Fresno.
