Ruby M. George of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Bedford Hospitality House. Born on July 14, 1905, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Laura (Smith) Peel. She married Hendrix George and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are three half-sisters: Melba McNew of AZ, Lois Allen of Bedford, IN, and Vera An Fig of Indianapolis; and one half-brother, Edward Peel of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Meadows; three brothers, John, Claude, and Jimmy Peel; two half=sisters, Mercedes Voorhies and Madeline Higgins; and one half-brother, Charles Peel Jr.

She was a homemaker and attended the Free Methodist Church.

There will be graveside services for Ruby George at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6th, at Liberty Church Cemetery in Jackson County with Pastor Ronnie McClain officiating.
