Marjorie M. Meadows


Bedford – Marjorie M. Meadows, 86, of Bedford, died Friday at Westview Manor.

Born March 30, 1909, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles and Laura (Smith) Peel. She was a homemaker and a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Maddox of Bedford; two sons, both of Bedford; one sister, of Bedford; one sister of Bedford; four half sisters, one of Arizona, Lois Allen of Bedford, one of Indianapolis and one of Traverse City, Mich.; one half brother of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrell Meadows, in 1986; one son, Jimmy Meadows; three brothers, John Peel, Claude Peel and Jimmy Peel; one half brother, Charles Peel Jr.; and one half sister, Mercedes Voorhies.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Pastor Bob Carder officiating. Burial will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
