Dies in Arkansas
White Kirk, 91, a former resident of Van Wert, died at the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas, February 3, 1982. Services were held Saturday, February 6, from the Bull Shoals, Arkansas, Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Williams officiating at the 2 p.m. rites. Interment was in Newton Flat Cemetery in Bull Shoals.
White Kirk was born September 28, 1890. He was married to Wilma Kirk in Osceola, Iowa. Two daughters were born to this union. He was a farmer in the Van Wert area for many years until he retired in 1961 and moved to Bull Shoals.
He is survived by two daughters, Doris Griffin and Lois Barnett, both of Bull Shoals; two sisters, Margaret Thurman of Henderson, Nevada and Susie Short of Winterset. Eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
