Last rites for Neil Gresham Parks, 55, of Berkeley will be held at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Layng and Tinney Funeral Home, 717 Jefferson Ave., Redwood City.

Mr. Parks, the brother of Virgil Parks of Redwood City, died Friday in Fairmont Hospital, San Leandro, after a long illness.

He was a native of Stephenville, Tex., and came to California from Texas 35 years ago. He had been a roofer for 35 years and was a member of the Roofer's Union, Local 81, of Oxnard. Mr. Parks was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

In addition to his brother in Redwood City, he leaves his wife, Bertha, at 935 Grayson in Berkeley; two other brothers, Dean of Del Rio, Tex., three sisters, Mrs. Ettie Elder of Sacramento and Mrs. Ann Pelton of Palo Alto, Mrs. L. R. Rogers of Fort Worth, Tex., and many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
