Enoch Sapp, who gives DOB abt 1840 in Coffee County, GA, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted Feb 1862 near Blackshear and served about 2 years with Co. G of the 4th GA Cavalry. At the surrender, he was home sick on furlough from Macon, GA hospital by doctor's orders. His brother , John Sapp, was a witness that he was still having chills at the end of the war. He had sold his horse, mule and hogs for about $100 and was too feeble to work at farming. He owned no property, and he mentions his wife, Martha, as being too helpless to support them.
