Enoch is the son of Levi Sapp, RS. As a child Enoch grew up in Montgomery and Tattnall counties. He married Martha Ruth "Ruthy" Barrow on Feb. 14, 1828 in Telfair County, GA.
About 10 years after his marriage, Enoch moved to the 6th district of Ware Co. This area was cut into Clinch Co. in 1850 and then into Coffee Co. in 1854.
