Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Mae Valentine Brown of Magee, Route 3, were held Saturday afternoon from the Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Varner and Rev. Henry Morris officiating. Interment was in the Goodwater cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Brown, 74 years old, died last Thursday at the Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Hilburn J. Brown of Magee and James B. Brown of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. F. W. Seymour of Hattiesburg and Mrs. A. W. Stubbs of Magee; eight grandchildren; six grandchildren; one half brother, Henry W. Valentine of Alamosa, Colo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Veda Knight and Mrs. Arlene Coats of Taylorsville, Route 2, Mrs. Ida Hilburn and Mrs. Vila Hinton of Laurel.
