Sven Paul Maxwell, 79, of Gholson, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 23, 2009.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street in McGregor, with the Rev. Ann Hitt and the Rev. Bruce Carpenter officiating.
He was born in San Antonio, Bexar County Texas, to Reta Napoleon and Evvie Mifflin (Allen) Maxwell. He married Alice Zander on June 30, 1950. Together, they had one handsome son and three beautiful girls. However, they divorced 28 years later.
In his later years, he loved travelling to Costa Rica where he always took his painting supplies and painted many a scenery.
