FORMER ALLEGANY RESIDENT DEAD IN SIOUX CITY, IOWA
Mrs. L. R. Angel Died Saturday Following An Operation
Word was received here last Saturday afternoon of the death of Mrs. L. R. Angel nee Irene McAuliffe which occurred at the Sisters' Hospital at Sioux City, Iowa Saturday morning following an operation for a goitre.
Mrs. Angel who was twenty-seven years of age spent her entire life in Allegany up to four years ago when she was united in marriage to Dr. Leroy Angel of Montrose, South Dakota.
She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy and her untimely death will be deeply mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Angel was a daughter of the late James J. McAuliffe and is survived by her husband, Dr. L. R. Angel, one son and one daughter, her mother, Mrs. Anna McAuliffe, one brother, J. Ray McAuliffe, four sisters, Sister M. Raphael of New York City; Mrs. Roy Barton, Buffalo, and Misses Annetta and Madeline McAuliffe of Allegany.
Arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been made.

The remains of the late Mrs. Angel, nee Irene McAuliffe, arrived in Allegany Thursday morning and were taken to the home of her mother, Mrs. James McAuliffe. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Bonaventure's church.
