He was born in Charlottesville on Aug. 31, 1951, a son of the late Rupert and Gladys Dodd Campbell.Mr. Campbell was a carpenter for R. W. Johnson and Sons. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Dickie Campbell; and a stepfather, Raymond A. Campbell.He is survived by his wife, Linda Massey Campbell; two daughters, Christina Campbell and Terri Campbell; one brother, Calvin Earl Campbell of Norfolk; two sisters, Brenda Fitzgerald of Afton and Judy Morris of Beech Grove; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Beech Grove Christian Church by the Revs. Ray Coffey and Robert Mansfield. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home, Roseland, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Fund or to the volunteer rescue squad of choice.
