Surviving are five sisters, Evelyn Allen of Bowling Green, Gloria Woodell of Manassas, Janet Hwilka of Maryland, Ernestine Higson of Tennessee and Nadine Haley of Spotsylvania; one brother, Harold Carr of Spotsylvania; two half sisters, Celeste Howdershelt and Grace Reynolds, both of Spotsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews
