Mrs. Ellis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Acuff where she and her daughter are now visiting.

Chesley was born in Tennessee
Father's Name: John Acuff
Chesley lived in Stinesville, Indiana and was a merchant there.
Died on 22 Feb 1900 at Stinesville, Monroe Co., Indiana at 7:00 PM.
Age at Death: 77 yrs, 3 months, 9 days
Cause of Death: Paralysis

Chesley Acuff, J.P. of this township for the past eight years, has resigned his magistracy and moved to Spencer. We regret very much to lose such good people as Uncle Chesley and wife, but most of their children live in Spencer and vicinity and wherever the treasure is there their hearts will be. We wish them happiness in their new home. ~Stinesville Cor. in Bloomington World~
