Herman A. Vogel, 79, of R. 1, Kiel, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died early today at his farm home, one mile east of Rockville, after a short illness.
Born Sept. 19, 1879, in Schleswig, a son of the late William and Minnie Dalmann Vogel, he attended rural schools and was married to Miss Ella Wegner of Milwaukee in 1912.
The couple settled in the Town of Schleswig after their marriage and operated a farm until their retirement in 1942. The farm is now operated
by a son, Herbert.Mr. Vogel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Louis Corners.
Survivors are the son, Herbert; a daughter, Mrs. Herman (Esther) Boje of the Town of Herman, and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Vogel died in August, 1953. Three brothers also preceded him in death.
