Funeral rites were conducted Monday for Oba Dell Baird, 73, Watonga, in the Keller Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert DeMoss, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the local IOOF Cemetery.
Baird was born February 14, 1889 in Woodbury County, Iowa and came to Watonga in 1920, marrying his wife Amanda the same year.
Survivors include his wife of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Rosie Butler, Calif.; Mary Petrucelle, Calif.; Julia Hyde, Wash.; Myrtle Jones, Wash.; and Omalec Briscoe, Marlowe; five sons, Eldorado, Oklahoma City; Johnnie, Idaho; Donald, Tex.; Doyle, Watonga; and O. D. Jr., Wash.; and his mother, Mrs. E. F. Walters, Watonga."
