Loren R.(Rosie)Booten

CARMAN, Ill. - Services for Loren R.(Rosie) Booten, 67, Carman Rt.1, who died Monday, Feb. 18, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, will be held at the Lunning Chapel, Burlington, Iowa, at 11 a.m. Thursday. Dr. Oliver Zivney officiating. Burial in the Carman Cemetery. A memorial for Happy Rock Senior Citizens of Gladstone, has been established.

Mr. Booten was born at Olena, in April 1918, to Lowell and Mary Elizabeth Siens Booten.

He married Myrtle Leaverton March 17, 1936. He was employed in labor and contruction and was a member of Construction and General Labor Local 525 and the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving: His wife; two sons, Raymond and Loren L., both of Burlington; five daughters, Shirley Ford,Carman, Joanne Schrader, Ft. Madison,Iowa, Frances Lewis, Gladstone, Lorain Bray, Burlington, and Laura Cox of North Carolina; a brother, Harold Booten, West Boint, Iowa; two sisters, Darlene Boyer, Biggsville, and Lucille Webb, Lomax; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
