Moses Goddard was born in Massachusettes 11/21/1742. He married Millie Walker 5/1/1765. He was in Marlborough, New Hampshire on January 11 1770 where he voted to help build the first Meeting House. Around 1788 he traveled through Vermont on his way to Canada. His son Calvin was born in 1790 in Brattleboro, Vermont. His sister Lydia married Eliphalet Stone and stayed in New Hampshire. Moses and many of his children settled in South Stukely, Canada. They were offered 200 acres to stay loyal to the king of England. Their 200 acres had a granite quarry on it which is now a small lake. One son, Silas Goddard settled in South Stukely with his wife Anne Bacon. He and his wife along with their son George Anson Goddard and his wife Mary Gage, are buried in the South Stukely cemetery. Also buried there is George and Mary's son Charles and his wife Calista Almira Lawrence Goddard. By Jack Elmer Goddard 4g grandson.
