Joseph Calvin "Joe" Lemaster was born to Joseph Robert and Susan "Susie" Bacon Lemaster on September 23, 1927 in Cherokee County, Texas. He was the first of four sons born to this couple: Ira Luman, Daniel Levi, and John Lewis Lemaster were his brothers.
He served in the United States Navy.
On August 15, 1953, he married Melvia Ruth Price, they resided in the Choctaw area where they raised 11 children; four daughters and seven sons. Melvia Ruth died March 5, 2002 and is buried in the Jones Cemetery.
Joe died December 14, 1994 in Del City and is buried in the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
