ELSINA ZORN

Mrs. Isadore Zorn, 48-year old mother of four, two of whom are at home, died in her sleep at the family farm home in the Town of New Holstein, about a mile west of Kiel, early today. Death was reportedly caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Zorn had not been ailing previously, according to her family, and had been about her work as usual Wednesday. The former Elsina Mertens, she was born in the Town of New Holstein (Calumet County) Jan. 13, 1912, a daughter of Mrs. Rose Horsch Mertens and the late Edwin Mertens. She was educated at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Kiel and married to Mr. Zorn at that church, May 7, 1929. Following marriage the couple operated the Mertens home farm west of Kiel where they continued to reside. Mrs. Zorn was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish and was secretary-treasurer of the Swamp Edge Homemakers Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, one son, her mother, Mrs. Mertens, Kiel; a sister, Mrs. Frank Groeschel of Pipe (Calumet County), and six grandchildren.
