Christopher Cortland Middleton (1881-1959), who was in his late 70’s, mayor of Pomona Park for a number of years died this morning at his home. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Davis Funeral Home.

A native of Hortense, Ga., the deceased had spent the greater part of his life in Pomona Park where he was a Naval Stores operator.

Survivors include one son, Donald Burritt and one granddaughter, Frances of Sanford; two brothers, George Haynes, Pomona Park, and Downing Talmadge, Hortense, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Dan (Mary Anna Daisy) Rabon, Orlando, Mrs. Alva (Nora Myreen) Adams, Hortense, Ga., Mrs. Cora Myrtle Yoder, South Carolina and Mrs. Matilda Jewell Howard, Race Pond, Ga.

Among nephews surviving are Clyde D. Middleton, Sunset Point, East Palatka, Sylvester Middleton, Pomona Park and David Middleton, St. Augustine.
