Salana was the daughter of James Holcomb and Electa Eno. Salana married Gary Clark in June 1828 at Muskingum County, Ohio. They were the parents of 10 children--Jasper, Albert, Lucian, Elvira, James, Emily, Francis, Henry, Winfield and Nathan all born in Marion County, Ohio.
Salana was living with her daughter Elvira Clark Greene, wife of William Greene, in Troy Township, Deleware County, Ohio where she was listed in the 1900 Federal census with them. Salana died at the home of her son W. S. Clark of Columbus, Ohio from old age and the remaims were taken to Caledonia, Marion County, Ohio for burial per her obituary in the Marion Daily Star.
