Ella Louise Gambell, 91, former Mulino resident died in the Lutheran Pioneer Home at Colton Friday afternoon following an extended illness. Mrs. Gambell was born Sept. 3, 1875 at Dubuque, Iowa and was married to William C. Gambell in Chicago, Jan. 19, 1899.
She lived in Chicago 30 years before coming to Mulino in 1939 and she had been in the nursing home for the past three years. She was a former member of the Episcopal Church and belonged to the Molalla Grange No. 40 at Mulino. Mr. Gambell and a daughter, Lucille Gambell, both died in 1949.
Surviving are two sons, C. Harvey Gambell, Mulino; Harold H. Gambell, West Chicago, Ill., four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 P.M. today at the Molalla chapel of Everhart and Kent and internment followed at Zion Cemetery.
