Mrs. Louise M. Manthei age 94, formerly of 1422 E. Van Buren St., died Friday evening Sept. 2, 1994 at the Janesville Health Care Center. She was born July 29, 1900, in the Town of Center to the late Herman W. and Augusta H. (Bienash) Schumacher. On May 17, 1917 she married Otto J. Manthei at Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Center; he preceded her in death on March 18, 1984.
Louise was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and of their Ladies' Aid.
She is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Nina) Manthei of Janesville, and Gerald Manthei of South Milwaukee, WI. 3 daughters: Lucile (Bernard "Ben") Manthey of Janesville, Evelyn (Sig) Lokken of South Milwaukee, and Betty (Otto) Mitchell of Janesville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Manthei of South Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sons; Donald and Leonard Manthei, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 3 grandchildren.
Louise was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and of their Ladies' Aid.
