Geneva A. Terry, 79, of Greensboro died Oct. 10, 1997, at Moses H. Cone Hospital, Hospice Unit.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Proximity United Methodist Church.
During her career, she worked with Otto Zanky and later retired from Belk's Department Store. She was preceded in death by a son, John Terry and a brother, Marcus Allred of Mebane.
Survivors include a son, James L. Terry of Greensboro; sister, Ellen Terrell of Mebane; brothers, Joe Allred of Graham and Thado Allred of Burlington; a grandson, William John Terry; great-grandson, Jonathan Terry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Proximity United Methodist Church, 1200 Vine St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
