Dorothy was the daughter of Leroy and Lillie Victoria (Tesh) Sink. She married Marcus Wayne Allred in 1938 and they had two children: Jacqueline Sandra and Marcus Lee.

MEBANE - Dorothy Sink Allred, 89, of 402 N. 2nd St., Mebane, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, August 16, at Oakwood Cemetery by Dr. Terry Farmer.
She was born in Davidson Co., N.C. She was a retired seamstress with Peaches and Cream Apparel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane.
Survivors are daughter, Jacqueline A. Ashby and husband, Bill, Pleasant Garden, N.C.; son , Marcus Lee Allred and wife, Frances, Mebane N.C.; grandchildren , Bill Ashby, Jr., Marcus L. Allred, Jr., David W. Allred, Heather Raysor, John P. Allred, Seth A. Mired, Johanna M. Allred; great grandchildren, Ethan Allred, Alise Allred, Craig Raysor, Felicity Raysor.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband , Marcus Wayne Allred; parents, Leroy Sink and Lillie Victoria Tesh Sink.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. Other times they will be the residence and at the residence of Marcus Allred, 610 S. Fifth St., Mebane, N.C.
