Morris Van Noy Bruce, 69, of 4762 Moran, died Thursday January 17, 1991 at Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1921, in La Grande, Oregon, to Saxon Berners Bruce and Pearl Rosenbaum Bruce.
Morris had lived in Cheyenne since 1968.
He was a retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 42 years and had worked the past four years at the Pershing Boulevard Dairy Queen.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Ward 2 and the Union Pacific Old Timers.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bruce of Cheyenne, whom he married Aug. 15, 1987, in Cheyenne; two sons, Robert Bruce of Cheyenne and Christopher Soberg of Fayetville, Ark.; three daughters, Susanne Perry of La Grande, Ore., and Patti Schmidt and Shawna Massey, both of Cheyenne; two sisters, Evelyn Blaser of The Dalles, Ore., and VonCeile Shelley of Provo, Utah; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Saxon and Pearl Bruce; one brother Saxon James "Jim" Bruce.
Arrangements are pending with Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
