John was the son of Enoch Craig Sr. & Dorothy Starling. He served in the Revolutionary War in Massachusetts.

John first married Drusilla, dau, of Daniel Stanley & Catherine Gould on Jan. 27, 1814. She was born in Attleboro, Mass., Jan. 17, 1788; she d. June 29, 1823.

John next married Charottle Drusilla Stanley on August 28, 1824 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine. She was the sister of his first wife Drusilla. b. in Attleboro, June 15, 1792, and d. July 23, 1874

John fathered 7 children:

John Craig settled upon back-lot No. 8, east side, where he spent his life as an industrious farmer, highly respected for the integrity of his character.
