Adam is survived by his parents, Wayne (Mary) Askew, Willseyville, and Cari (Robert) Rich, Willseyville; brothers, Kyle Askew, Willseyville, and Lucas Rich, Willseyville; grandparents, Ted and Leona Farrell, Willseyville, Carole Askew, Ithaca, Bill Askew, Sr., Orlando, FL; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Adam had just graduated from Candor High School, and was best known by his friends as "Cheese." Adam found interest in sound engineering and often volunteered his talents at school plays. Adam played the bass guitar and just recently formed a band with some of his friends. He was a big fan of the Buffalo Bills, and loved to attend games.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 17 Main Street, Candor, with burial to follow at Smith Valley Cemetery. The family invites friends to call on Monday, August 18, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Candor. Memorial contributions may be made in Adam's memory to The Jonathan Cancer Fund, Inc., 650 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13203. Arrangements are by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.
