Mrs. Katherine Schicker, 80, passed away at her home west of Kiel on Monday evening following a brief illness.
Nee Koehler, she was born Dec. 16, 1874, at Marytown. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.
Survivors include two sons, Edward and Albert, both of Milwaukee; six daughters, Mrs. Dewey Wussow and Mrs. Philomine Mapes of Milwaukee, Mrs. John Hoekstra and Mrs. John Krutzig of Kiel, Mrs. Edward Rieden of New Holstein, and Mrs. Frank Broeckel of Sturgeon Bay; 37 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Englebert of Kiel and Joseph of Marytown; and one sister, Mrs. Anton Hammer of Chilton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schicker, one son and one daughter.
Funeral
services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. F.X. Kheil will be celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 2 p.m., Wednesday, until the hour of services. The rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m , Wednesday, at the funeral home.
