Mr. Clifford Warren Landress of 611 Ivey Circle, died Thursday morning in New Hanover Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Cataula, Georgia, on September 26, 1922, the son of the late Lee and Susie Pearson Sanders.
Mr. Landress was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, he was a Shriner, a Mason, a member of the V.F.W. Post 2573, and had retired as a sergeant from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Marie Landress of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Ila Sandy of Wilmington, four grandchildren, Robert Eugene Schults, Mrs. Teena Marie Roeder, Sharon Sandy, Butch Sandy, all of Wilmington, one great-grandchild, Rob Schultz of Wilmington, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Boone, and Mrs. Gloria Boone, both of Winter Haven, Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Lebanon Baptist Church by the Rev. L.D. Smith. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 6 until 8 p.m. at the residence, 611 Ivey Circle.
