She was born Jan. 22, 1908, to the late William and Dora (Kortendick) Beck on the family farm in Waterford, and was baptized at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member.
She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School and graduated from Waterford High School.
She married Richard Huening Aug. 28, 1928, at St. Thomas Church. They opened their family grocery store (Dick's Market) in 1941 in Waterford, operating until 1996. He preceded her in death.
She enjoyed traveling domestically and abroad with family and friends, especially when visiting her family in Germany and close friends in Brazil.
Survivors include her children, Lucille (Harold) Meyer, and Richard (Marcia) Huening; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; her brother, Francis Beck, Burlington; sister-in-law, Ruth Beck,Cochise, Ariz.; other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was June 28, at St. Thomas Church. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, handled arrangements.
