Amanda Caroline Cook was the daughter of Hosea and Emily Ivey Cook.

She was the wife of Anthony Fleming Graves. She was the mother of Charles W, Lucy E, Fleetwood Grace Bullock, Nathan Giles, Jessie, Nannie, W Baker, Martha Pattie McFadyen and Minnie McKinnon. The 1900 census states that Amanda had 16 children, but at that time only 7 lived.

She died of tetanus from a nail puncture of her right heel after 2 days.
