John Henry Jarrett, 71, Athens, died Wednesday at the Decatur General Hospital.
The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Dan Binkley and Gary Kelsey officiating. Burial was in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Jarrett was retired from the Limestone County Board of Education.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Jarrett; two sons, Billy Jarrett of Mobile and Johnny Jarrett of Route 1, Elkmont; a brother, Leo Jarrett of Calif.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
