Delfino Gonzalez of County Road 528, Elba, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. He was 77.
A funeral mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday from the Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m.
Mr. Gonzalez was born December 24, 1931, in Almoloya, Mexico. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Petra Gonzalez, Elba; three daughters, Mirella Vasquez, Galvaston, Texas, Rebecca Esquivel, Garland, Texas, Rosa Gonzalez, Enterprise; four sons, Raul Gonzalez, LaCross, Ind., Jose Gonzalez, Harrington, Del., Roberto Gonzalez, and Arturo Gonzalez both of Enterprise; two sisters and eight brothers; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
