Mrs. Ora Wooden, 90, a retired practical nurse who resided here hearly half a century, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Edge Wood View Nursing Home after an illness of about eight months.

Born in Woodson County, Kansas, she was married in 1905 to George Albert Wooden. She was educated in Kansas, and attended a practical nursing school in St. Louis. She moved to Oxford in 1922 shortly after the death of Mr. Wooden. She was a nurse in the community until her retirement in the late 1950's.

Mrs. Wooden was a member of United Methodist Chruch of Oxford; Oak Grove Cahpter 128 of Eastern Star; and Rebekah Lodge of Oxford.

A sister, Mrs. Lillie Doctor, Rossville, and several nieces and nephews survive.
