Born in Poland, she lived in New Britain for the last 43 years and was a member of St. John, the Evangelist Church, and Holy Cross Church.
Teresa was earlier employed at Atlantic Machine and retired from Stanley Works, after 25 years of employment.
A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves her son and daughter-in-law Dr. Karl A. Markuszka and Eva of Farmington; her daughter and son-in-law Anna M. Hasson and Douglas of Newington; six grandchildren: Philip, Katherine, Natalie, Oliver, Madeleine and Aiden; two brothers and their wives Mark Nowak and Marianne, Stanley Nowak and Marta all of Windsor Locks; two sisters and their husbands Irene Brzostek and Henry of Windsor Locks, Sophie King and Tom of Middletown and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Ludwika Markuszka, Janina Slawski, Jadviga Markuszka and her brothers-in-law Edward Markuszka, Stanislaw Slawski, and Joseph Markuszka.
Her Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt Street, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
