He was born Oct. 3, 1893, in Huntingdon County, the son of Jesse M. and Rebecca Gray Rodkey.
On June 1, 1921, he was married to Ethel Chronister, who survives, as does a brother,
Jesse, and several nieces
and nephews.
He was a member of the Spring Mount Church of the Brethren.
He served in World War I and attained the rank of second lieutenant.
He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944, and from the Civil Service
in 1956.
