Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under direction of Franklin Bartley Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Munday.
He married Hettie Stockton on June 6, 1959, in Fieldton.
He was a farmer for Texas Tech University for 13 years and later worked for Cement and Supply until he retired after 15 years of service.
He was a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul of Lubbock and Jeffery of Snellville, Ga.; two daughters, Lavonna Kaye Grover of Lubbock and Julia Lanise Morgan of Safford, Ariz.; two brothers, Douglas of Rankin and Jerry of Abilene; a sister, Evelyn Rivers of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.
